Basseterre, St. Kitts, 6 February 2026 – The Ministry of Environment, Climate Action and Constituency Empowerment, through its Department of Environment, Department of Constituency Empowerment and Parks and Beaches Unit, conducted a school outreach visit at The Beach Allen Primary School as part of the ongoing Environment for Everyone (E.F.E.) Campaign.
The engagement formed part of the Ministry’s strategic efforts to strengthen environmental awareness among young people and reinforce the importance of community responsibility in promoting clean, safe, and healthy public spaces. Through interactive discussion, students were encouraged to understand the value of environmental stewardship and their role in building stronger, more resilient communities.
Grounded in a national movement toward environmental wellness, the Environment for Everyone Campaign emphasizes shared responsibility, civic pride, and collaborative action as central to a successful, sustainable island state. The school visit underscored these principles by fostering early appreciation for proper waste management, protection of public spaces, and respect for the natural environment.
This visit also highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to youth engagement as a key driver of long-term behavioural change. By equipping students with practical knowledge and simple actions they can implement at school and at home, the initiative supports the development of environmentally conscious citizens and future community leaders.
The Ministry will continue to expand its outreach and public education initiatives under the Environment for Everyone Campaign, working closely with schools, community groups, and national partners to advance coordinated action for environmental sustainability across St. Kitts and Nevis.
