Basseterre: St. Kitts, Monday, 9th August, 2021: About 90prospective teachers who participated in the pre-service ceremony engaged in an interview session. This session is the final step before the selection of new teachers. The interviews were held over the period Wednesday, 4th August to Friday, 6thAugust, 2021. Ms. Stacy Gumbs, Personnel Officer within the Ministry of Education, outlined the selection process of prospectiveteachers. She explained that “applications were reviewed and only those persons who were suitably qualified in areas where there are likely to be vacancies, were invited to the pre-service training and the interviews.” Ms. Gumbs noted, “The interview concluded the penultimatephase of the recruitment process for prospective teachers.
