“We Have An Unction To Function” is a powerful theme when one dissects its meaning, for the formal definition of unction is the action of anointing someone with oil or ointment as a religious rite or as a symbol of investiture as a monarch,” said Prime Minister Harris, while reciting First John Chapter 2 and verse 20 which speaks of unction.

“Essentially, when one receives unction or an anointing, it bestows a mandate on that person, and your theme says that the mandate of the Rivers of Living Water Christian Centre is to function or work – working to lead those who have gone astray back into the fold, like a good shepherd, functioning in the image and likeness of God,” said Dr. Harris.

Prime Minister Harris recited the 23rd Psalm and said that “It is believed that David wrote this Psalm in remembrance of his sweet victory over slaying Goliath and the prosperity that came to him afterwards.  Indeed, after overcoming Goliath, David became a national hero,” he said.

The Prime Minister commended Dr. Allan Isaac and Prophetess Debbie Isaac, as well as the Partners of the Rivers of Living Water Christian Centre, for their continued contribution to spiritual development within the community. He expressed his desire to worship with the establishment and extended thanks to the pastor and his congregation.

“I extend sincere wishes to you for many, many more fruitful years of service to your church and the community,” he said. “As you continue your celebration, do not become complacent. There is still so much to be done in God’s vineyard. There are still too many wandering without knowledge of God’s transformative power in their lives, wandering in our city and urban areas and village communities. Go bring them in service to God.”

Dr. Harris wished everyone well as they reflect on the next 21 years of the church, and prayed God’s blessings on them.
