A BILL to amend the Trusts Act Cap. 5.19.

 

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the National Assembly of Saint Christopher and Nevis, and by the authority of the same as follows:

 

  1. Short title.

 

This Act may be cited as the Trusts (Amendment) Act, 2017.

 

  1. Amendment of section 60.

 

The Trusts Act is amended by inserting in section 60 immediately after          subsection (4) the following new subsection (1):

 

“          (5)        Where the trustees of a trust

 

  • fail to submit annual statements pursuant to subsections (1) and (2); and

 

  • have been delinquent in such filing in excess of 3 years,

 

the Registrar shall strike the name of the Trust from the Register                                                                    of Trusts.”
