POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING IN CHURCH GROUND NEVIS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 03, 2017(RSCNPF) Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting incident that was reported at 10.55pm, on Friday (June 02) in Church Ground Nevis that resulted in the murder of one person.

The victim is identified as Lydia Jacobs, a 37 year old female.

Investigations revealed that Ms. Jacobs was shot in the yard of her residence by an unknown assailant(s).  She was taken to the Alexandria Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

One person is in Police custody assisting with the investigation.

The Police encourages any person who may have information with regards to this incident to come forward and share any information they may have.  Information can be passed to the Police by calling the Charlestown Police Station at 469-5391/5392, or any Police Station,  Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) or by using the SKN Crime Reporter App on your Smartphone.

The investigation is ongoing.
