The meeting with citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis came on the side of the Prime Minister’s official visit to Dubai where he spent days engaging with potential investors, international marketing agents, partners of the federation’s Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programme. The prime minister also held productive discussions with Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Tuesday’s gala event was sponsored by Rif Trust Investments and Range Developments.

Addressing those gathered at the Astor Ballroom at the St. Regis Dubai, Prime Minister Harris thanked the citizens for their investment in the twin island Federation and encouraged them to make greater investments in the country. Dr. Harris urged them to visit the federation and to be more active participants in the socio-economic life of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The prime minister also updated those in attendance of the various developments currently taking place here in St. Kitts and Nevis that will redound to the overall development of the federation.

Dr. Harris was supported at the event by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit, Mr. Les Khan; Consul General at the Consulate of St. Kitts and Nevis in Dubai, Mr. Justin Hawley; Chairman of St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, Mr. Alexis Nisbett and President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Faron Lawrence.

Speaking with the Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr. Hawley described the atmosphere at Tuesday’s social gathering as “electric”, and noted that those in attendance were really impressed by the prime minister’s remarks.

He stated that citizens residing in Dubai have since reached out to him to learn more about how they can contribute to the development of St. Kitts and Nevis through their respective fields and expertise.

The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis presented Range Developments with an award of appreciation for its continued contributions to the country’s CBI programme. Range Developments is the company that developed the recently opened ultra-luxury five star resort Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour, and is largely responsible for bringing the Six Senses luxury five-star hotel brand to St. Kitts and Nevis.

A second award of appreciation was presented to Rif Trust for their support of the twin island Federation and for its sponsorship of the event.
