Seas: Moderate to rough, with significant wave heights of 1.5 to 2.1 metres or 5 to 7 feet. A small craft advisory is now in effect while sea bathers should exercise caution mainly on the eastern side of the island.
Weather Forecast for St. Kitts & Nevis: A slack pressure gradient along with a very dry and stable atmosphere will continue to encourage very light winds and also restrict shower activity across the area during the next 24 hours.

The St. Kitts Met Services is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaac which is nearing Hurricane force strength. It is expected to strengthen further before weakening as it continues to move towards the island chain. Residents are reminded that we are in the peak of the hurricane season and are encouraged to ensure that their disaster plan is ready. We will continue to provide daily updates on TS Isaac which should be in the vicinity of the island chain by mid-week.
