Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 07, 2019 (SKNIS):Celia Christopher, the Director of Gender Affairs in St. Kitts and Nevis, has called on individuals and agencies to partner more with the department she leads, in order to share ideas and help to develop strategies that promote greater gender equity in St. Kitts and Nevis.

“We are looking for partners; we want to hear more voices so wherever you are and you want to be a part of our programme just come and see us; we are willing to help,” Mrs. Christopher stated on Wednesday (March 06, 2019) during the radio and television programme ‘Working for You.’

The director of Gender Affairs made a special appeal to men to collaborate with the department to address some of the issues discussed on the programme. These include greater representation of women in parliament, equal pay for women, publicizing success stories of women, and increasing the number of males pursuing higher education particularly at the university and college levels.
