Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 30, 2019 (SKNIS): Disaster preparedness will be the special topic on the popular government radio and television programme “Working for You” on Wednesday, May 01, 2019.
The panel will include Mr. Abdias Samuel, National Disaster Coordinator at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Elmo Burke, Senior Meteorology Officer, and Mr. Brian Dyer, Director of Nevis Disaster Management Department.
The trio will engage their audience on the importance of disaster preparedness and especially during the hurricane season. The significance of accurate information sharing from the relevant agency and authorities will be underscored. Food security and the rules and responsibilities of volunteers will also be discussed. The 2019 forecast for the Atlantic Hurricane Season will be debated and lessons learned from the 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season will be conversed.

“Working for You” is carried live every Wednesday on ZIZ, WinnFM and Sugar City Rock from 1:30-3:00 pm and rebroadcast on Freedom FM and Von Radio on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00 am and 10:30-12:00pm respectively, and CBN-Radio on Sundays from 5:00-6:30 pm.
