GOVERNMENT TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETING ON ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BASSETERRE HIGH SCHOOL

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 21, 2019 (SKNIS): The Team Unity Administration will host a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday May 29, 2019, at the Tucker Clarke Primary School in Newtown at 7:00 pm to discuss and entertain questions from the public on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and all of the relevant information in relation to the construction of the brand-new state- of- the- art Basseterre High School.

A panel of local experts, ministry officials and developers will address the audience and field questions, with Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Williams Vincent Hodge, chairing the proceedings.

The Development Planning and Control Board has agreed to make available copies of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for reading purposes only to the public. Such copies can be read at the following locations during normal business hours: The library of the Development Planning and Control Board office; The Ministry of Education located on the 3rd floor of The Cable building; The Charles Halbert Public Library; the offices of the Public Works Department; and the temporary Basseterre High School site.
