Job Vacancies at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the posts of Communications Officer and Software Developer.

Candidates applying to fill the Communications Officer post must have five years of related experience in the field of telecommunications with operations or command centre management, and experience working in a confidentiality environment. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and the management of VoIP systems are also necessary.

Candidates applying to fill the post of Software Developer must have an advanced university degree in Computer Sciences or other domains related to Information Technology; a first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Knowledge of the Agile Software Development methodologies (FDD, XP, etc.) and practical knowledge of developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining web-based and client/server applications are also necessary.
