Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew Arrives in Cuba for Official State Visit

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 20, 2023 (SKNIS): The Republic of Cuba, the Republic of Türkiye and Sweden congratulated St. Kitts and Nevis on achieving 40 years of Nationhood on September 19, 2023.
 
In a congratulatory letter written to Her Excellency Dame Marcella A. Liburd, Governor General of St. Kitts and Nevis, His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden wrote: “On the occasion of the National Day of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis I wish to convey to Your Excellency my sincere congratulations and my best wishes for your health and happiness and for the prosperity of the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis.”

Additionally, The Republic of Cuba congratulated the Government and People of St. Kitts and Nevis.
 
“On the occasion of celebrating the 40^th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, I extend warmest congratulations to you and your people,” His Excellency Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba wrote to H.E. Dame Marcella Liburd, Governor General of St. Kitts and Nevis.

H.E. Bruno Rodríguez Parilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba wrote a congratulatory note to the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs et al where he said:
 
“On the occasion of celebrating the 40^th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, I am pleased to extend cordial congratulations to you and your people.

“This is an auspicious occasion to reiterate to you the willingness to continue strengthening the historic bonds uniting our nations.”
 
And the President of the Republic of Cuba wrote to the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew saying “On the occasion of celebrating the 40^th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, I extend warmest congratulations to you and to the Kittitian and Nevisian people and government, and reiterate the willingness to continue expanding the relations of cooperation uniting us.”
 
Also, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Santo Domingo, H.E. Yesim Kebapcioglu, congratulated the people and Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.

“As the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, I have the pleasure and privilege to convey my felicitations to the people and Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis, on the occasion of the 40^th Anniversary of Independence of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
 
“I will continue to work to further develop the relations of friendship between our countries.
 
“Wishing you continued prosperity and progress, I once again extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on this great day for your country,” she said.
