H.E. DAME MARCELLA RECEIVES BEST WISHES AT INDEPENDENCE 40

asseterre, St. Kitts, September 22, 2023 (SKNIS): Governor-General Her Excellency Dame Marcella Liburd has received best wishes for St. Kitts and Nevis on the occasion of the nation’s 40th Anniversary of Independence.

In a communique dated September 19, 2023, from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands based in Trinidad, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands wrote “On the occasion of your National Day I extend to Your Excellency my congratulations and best wishes for the well-being of the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis.”

Meanwhile, President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu of the Republic of Kosovo, “extended warmest congratulations” as the twin-island Federation celebrates Independence 40.

“I wish that the spirit of celebration spreads throughout your country and that every family in Saint Kitts and Nevis celebrates in good health,” the president expressed in a letter on September 19, 2023.

“I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm the friendship between our countries, rooted in shared values and mutual respect. The Republic of Kosovo is committed to further enhancing our bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation for the mutual benefit of our peace-loving countries and peoples.”

St. Kitts and Nevis gained independence from Great Britain on September 19, 2023.
