The Human Resource Management Department on behalf of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure et al wishes to invite suitably qualified persons to fill the position of an Assistant Systems Administrator.
The Assistant Systems Administrator works under the general supervision of the Systems Administrator of the Water Services Department. This position is responsible for providing the first level of technical support to the staff within the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
∙ The establishment of system specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing system infrastructure. ∙ Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning, troubleshooting system hardware, software and network. ∙ Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords etc. ∙ Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
∙ Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
∙ Any other duties as it relates to IT.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
∙ An Associate Degree in information technology related field
∙ Demonstrates capability of developing and implementing solutions towards the improvement of network infrastructure.
Salary: K28-K32 ($53,256 – $61,812) per annum
