June 20th, 2024 – The Ministry of Small Business, Entrepreneurship, and Cooperatives is pleased to announce an open call for applicants for a Business Continuity Training program sponsored by the Caribbean Development Bank. This program is designed to equip small businesses with the essential skills and knowledge to maintain resilient and sustainable operations amidst disruptions. It will conclude with personalized, one-on-one consultations to assist participants in developing customized business continuity plans.
The training will be held from July 9-11, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Ministry’s Conference Room at Port Zante.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for this invaluable training opportunity, businesses must meet the following criteria:
1. Employee Size: Must have no more than 50 employees.
2. Operational History: Must have been in operation for at least two (2) years.
3. Registration Status: Must be registered or incorporated and currently operational.
4. Youth Ownership/Operation: Must be owned or operated by a male or female youth aged 18-35.
5. Gender Inclusivity: If not female-owned or operated, the business must employ a significant number of women.
6. Industry Focus: Must be operating directly or indirectly in one of the following sectors or subsectors:
- Agri-business
- Blue Economy
- Hospitality Services
- Technology-based and Green-tech Businesses
- Creative Industry
