United Nations, New York, (11th November 2025)- The Permanent Mission of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the United Nations, is strongly encouraging nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis to apply for the prestigious 2026 Italy-Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) Fellowship. The Fellowship, which has been in existence for a decade and annually trains 10 fellows, has never had a fellow from Saint Kitts and Nevis in its cohorts.

The Fellowship is a unique opportunity for early career professionals from AOSIS Member States to get hands-on training and experience on issues of law, policy and science, to build fundamental knowledge and understanding of climate change, environmental protection, sustainable development, and ocean issues. Fellows also receive media training and real-world negotiation experience. It further helps to build enduring capacity in AOSIS Member governments, to engage in international processes.
