Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan), (10th November 2025) — The Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the Republic of China (Taiwan) received two awards for their participation in the Taipei International Travel Fair, ITF 2025. The four-day event was held from November 7th to 10th.

Judges chose the Embassy to win a Best Creativity Award for their booth which showcased the Saint Kitts Music Festival and the Nevis Mango Festival. The featured events are hosted during two consecutive weekends in June and July and make a great package for a summer travel getaway.

Patrons to the booth experienced both festivals in unique ways.

They were able to perform karaoke to win tokens like people on Saint Kitts do, ahead of the Saint Kitts Music Festival to win tickets. They were also able to enjoy mango treats for a taste of Nevis mango delicacies made by student Lennox Bedford.

His Excellency Ambassador Donya L. Francis believes these two festivals featured at the booth not only show the excitement of Saint Kitts and Nevis but also the similarities between Saint Kitts and Nevis and the Republic of China (Taiwan).

“When we share about our music and mango festivals, the patrons are immediately intrigued and inquire about the similar food, climate and culture of our allied countries,” said Ambassador Francis.

The Embassy also captured, for a third year, the Best Performance award. Nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis, living and studying in Taiwan performed folk songs, dance, masquerade and steel pan. Their talented display enticed the audience to cast their votes for Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Ambassador Francis proclaimed, “Along with our beautiful beaches and majestic mountains, visitors to Saint Kitts and Nevis are guaranteed heartwarming interactions and unforgettable experiences.”

The Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis to the Republic of China (Taiwan) will continue to join the Taipei International Travel Fair with a mission to increase awareness of Saint Kitts and Nevis in Taiwan through people-to-people interaction and to encourage Taiwanese tourists to visit the Federation.

Special thanks are being extended to Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Nevis Tourism Authority, and our booth designers for their support and collaboration.

“I especially wish to dedicate these awards to the dedicated staff of the Embassy and to the nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis in Taiwan, whose continued commitment and support have been vital to advancing our mission,” said Ambassador Francis.
