His Excellency Donya L. Francis dedicated the awards to every individual who has contributed to the success of the Embassy’s work in Taiwan.

“Our work, success and visibility as an Embassy come as a result of our dedicated staff at the Embassy in Taiwan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at home, our patriotic nationals and our caring partners,” Ambassador Francis said.

The awards were presented by ACIE Awards founder Sharon Dindy, lead event organiser Palesa Tshabalala and creative director Rondine Brown.

During a sit down with Ambassador Francis, the ACIE Awards team expressed sincere gratitude to His Excellency for supporting the organisation’s inaugural event and their overall mission to unify Caribbean and African communities in Taiwan by recognising the leaders and influencers in such a movement.

Ambassador Francis reflected on his conviction to promote togetherness and exchange among the various communities of Africans and individuals of African descent, including nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

“We have shared culture, history, heritage and excellence that we should never shy away from pooling together to strengthen our imprint as a people,” said Ambassador Francis, in thanking the organisers for executing an event of this calibre.

The first ever ACIE Awards ceremony was held in Taipei on January 17, 2026. Three nationals and brands from Saint Kitts and Nevis – Abigail O’Flaherty of Haus of Beauty, Hooked Restaurant and Hip-hop artist SkullyOSkully also won awards for their leadership, innovation, and commitment to uplifting culture and community.
