On Monday 25th February 2019, His Excellency The Governor-General Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP received a courtesy call from His Excellency David Andre Commisiong, High Commissioner of Barbados to St. Kitts and Nevis.

The main purpose of High Comissioner Commissiong’s visit is to present his Letter of Introduction to Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris and to participate in the 30th Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM.

 

His Excellency Mr. Commissiong is an Attorney-at-Law by profession and has led an active life in civil society, specifically politics, human rights and the Pan-African Movement.

Barbados holds the portfolio for the CSME in the quasi-Cabinet of Caricom Heads of Government and has adopted a disposition to hasten the pace of integration.

 

His Excellency the Governor-General and His Excellency the High Commissioner engaged in a discussion on the history of the warm relationship of Barbados and Saint Kitts and Nevis and pledged to further the level of cooperation between the two countries.
