Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 23, 2021 (SKNIS): Hundreds of persons in St. Kitts have benefited from a generous donation of turkeys and hams through the benevolent gesture of Gurdip “Dev” Bath, a national of St. Kitts and Nevis, along with some of his associates.
Mr. Bath is no stranger to giving and has assisted the Federation on several occasions. In October of this year, Mr. Bath coordinated the procurement, packaging, shipping and clearing of a 40 ft container of dry foods donated by Pacious Pte Ltd and administered through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for charitable purposes in relation to the COVID-19 response.
This time around, Mr. Bath along with his associates, donated 25 cases of hams and 175 cases of turkeys in December, which were distributed to several organizations and institutions through the Department of Community Development and Social Services. The container of hams and turkeys was offloaded, and the items were distributed at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) headed by Abdias Samuel.
Organizations and institutions that benefited from the Christmas packages include the Ministry of Health, the Cardin Home, the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, the New Horizons Rehabilitation Centre, the Saddlers Home for the Elderly, the Outreach Centre, the Moravian Church, the Salvation Army, the Catholic Church, the St. Kitts and Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities, the St. Christopher’s Children Home, Ade’s Place, the Boys Mentorship Programme, the Police Training School and the Department of Community Development and Social Services.
The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis through the Department of Community Development and Social Services thanks Mr. Bath and his associates for their generous contribution during this time of year.
