As of July 06, 2021, thirty-nine (39) residents at Her Majesty’s Prison and two (2) members ofstaff have now fully recovered from the COVID-19 virus. They were given the all-clear byhealth officials after having two negative tests recently. St. Kitts & Nevis COVID-19 Situation Report No. 466 as of Monday, July 05, 2021, states that the total number of confirmed cases now stands at 515 with 275 active cases, 237 recovered cases and three deaths. 497 of those cases were recorded in St. Kitts while 18 were registered in Nevis. A recent outbreak of the deadly coronavirus on St Kitts and Nevis has again impacted the economy and caused the government to enact a State of Emergency. Resultantly, many persons are experiencing hardship. As our social corporate response, the Social Security Board has allocated $250 000 to a Food Voucher Initiative.
