Tuesday 7th February, 2017 (Basseterre, St. Kitts) – The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, in collaboration with the National Housing Corporation (NHC), will launch its Unity Housing Solution Program on Friday 17th February. The Launch will take place on Wellington Road, Basseterre from 9:30am.
The Launch of the Unity Housing Solution Programme forms part of the Team Unity Week of Activities under the theme “Good Governance and Accountability for Prosperity” to commemorate the two (2) year Anniversary of being in Government. The Prime Minister, Dr. the Honorable Timothy Harris and Minister responsible for NHC, the Honorable Eugene Hamilton, will address us all on the government’s performance to date, the new Unity Housing Solution Program and future plans for the government and people of the Federation.
The objective of the Launch is to sensitize the public of the Team Unity’s promises which encompass improving infrastructure, sustainable living and creating jobs. Another objective is to bring awareness of the 300 houses that will be constructed across various communities on the island. Plans for distribution, commencement date of construction, designs and layouts will be addressed.
NHC will be closed for the day to facilitate this historic and auspicious occasion. The public is invited to hear these very interesting speeches followed by live performances, music and more.
