Basseterre , St. Kitts, February 12, 2017 (SKNIS): The Team Unity Administration (Government of National Unity) kicked off its week of activities to mark the second year anniversary in office with hundreds of the faithful giving praise and thanks to Almighty God for the laudable accomplishments at a church service at the Co-Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Basseterre on February 12, 2017.

His excellency the governor-general, Cabinet ministers, permanent secretaries, heads of departments, other senior government officials from St. Kitts and Nevis, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, the high command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and several hundreds of the faithful turned out to show their appreciation for the leadership, foresight and sound policies of the government that have redounded to remarkable achievements in just two years in office.

The liturgy was led by the youth, who delivered a vivacious celebration of praise and worship to God. Chief celebrant, Fr. Manuel Antao, an SVD Missionary Priest and Pastor of the Co-Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, challenged the members of the congregation in his homily to love their enemies, and thanked the government for the work it was doing for the people.
