In relation to the 69 housing developments without basic infrastructure that the Team
Unity Government has identified, the Honourable Prime Minister said last Friday that,
“Several persons have housing plans and can’t get started. Several persons can’t even get
to the bank for financing because the projects are not ready. We want to unleash that
potential for property ownership by ensuring that we then provide the basic infrastructure
that will allow the individual to start. So the water, the electricity, etc., we are prepared to
put those in…We want the housing program to come alive in St. Kitts and Nevis, and we are
prepared to do it.”
