POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING INCIDENTS IN ST PAULS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 18, 2017 (RSCNPF): Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit are  investigating two shooting incidents which occurred Wednesday (May 17) in St. Pauls.

In the first incident,  initial investigations revealed that an unknown assailant approached the victim and fired a gunshot at the victim while he was sitting on his verandah in the Rawlins Housing area. The victim was grazed by the bullet.

The assailant ran from the scene. The victim was treated at the Joseph N. France General Hospital.

Shortly after, investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit responded to a report of a gunshot victim at the Pogson Hospital in Sandy Point.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim stated that while walking in the vicinity of a village shop in St. Pauls, he was attacked by two masked assailants and during the incident he received two gunshot wounds, one to the shoulder and his right side.
