Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 18, 2017(RSCNPF) The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is encouraged by the initial feedback for its most recent Community Policing engagement, a radio program on ZIZ Radio called “Policing with You”.

The program was introduced on April 20, and topical presentations began on May 04 with the hosts Inspectors James Francis and Carl Greaux.  The programs so far provided the Police the opportunity to share information with regards to prevention and reduction of crimes against property (Burglaries, House Breakings and Larcenies) and other topics of benefit to promote continued Citizen Safety.

“Policing with You” airs weekly on Thursday mornings at 9.15am.

A local business owner commended the Police for the bringing the program and said, “I found the information of the first two programs quite beneficial. In particular when they spoke landscaping for security, I often thought of security at  my home, but it was more on the structure,  with little attention to the surrounding.  Now I have to do both.”

Head of the Service Improvement Directorate,  Deputy Commissioner Hilroy Brandy, whose Directorate is responsible for Community Outreach said, “Policing for You” was designed to reach and educate our communities on things they can do too reduce the chances of being a victim of crime.” He added, “we want to share information that can help prevent and reduce crime.”

Deputy Branded noted, “I  am encouraged from the feedback  I have gotten while out and about, its early still,  but the initial embrace of the program is encouraging and we hope we can get it re-broadcast on other stations as well.”
