A BILL to amend the Firearms Act Cap. 19.05 and for matters connected therewith.

 

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the National Assembly of Saint Christopher and Nevis and by the authority of the same as follows:

 

  1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the Firearms (Amendment) Act, 2017.

 

  1. Amendment of Act.

The Act is amended by replacing the expression “not exceeding ten years” wherever it occurs in the following sections, with the expression “not exceeding twenty years”,

 

  • section 4 (2) (a) (i);
  • section 4 (2) (b) (ii);
  • section 4 (2) (c) (i);
  • section 5 (2);
  • section 9 (2) (a) (i);
  • section 9 (2) (b) (i);
  • section 9 (2) (c) (i);
  • section 10 (7) (a) (i);
  • section 10 (7) (b) (i);
  • section 10 (7) (c);
  • section 11 (2);
  • section 12 (2) (a) (i);
  • section 12 (2) (b) (i);
  • section 14 (3);
  • section 15 (3) (a);
  • section 19 (2) (a);
  • section 20 (4) (a) (i);
  • section 20 (4) (b) (i);
  • section 20 (4) (c);
  • section 21 (2);
  • section 22 (4) (a);
  • section 26; and
  • section 50
