A BILL to amend the National Assembly Elections Act, Cap. 2.01.

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the National Assembly of Saint Christopher and Nevis and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the National Assembly Elections (Amendment) Act, 2017.

2. Interpretation.

In this Act,

“principal Act” means the National Assembly Elections Act, Cap. 2.01.

3. Amendment of Fourth Schedule.

The Fourth Schedule to the principal Act is amended by replacing section 70 (4) as follows,

“70 (4) The duties and powers of the Public Accounts Committee shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Public Accounts Committee Act, 2017.”.
