The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Government of the State of Qatar established diplomatic relations at Ambassadorial level, on August 16, 2017. Ambassador Sam Condor, Permanent Representative of St. Kitts and Nevis to the United Nations along with Her Excellency Alya Ahmed S. Al-Thani, Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations signed the Joint Communique in New York. As St. Kitts and Nevis continues to expand its diplomatic footprint, the Government views this as a step toward the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
