BASSETERRE (8TH March, 2018): Minister of Tourism the Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant led a delegation of tourism stakeholders to showcase the uniqueness of St. Kitts at the cruise industry leading cruise event, Seatrade Global Conference. The event is taking place from 5th to 8th March, 2018 at the Fort Lauderdale Broward Convention Center.
Minister Grant said it was vital that St. Kitts maintains strong relations with cruise line executives, to gather feedback on enhancing the visitor experience, and gain knowledge on product and best practices in the cruise industry to improve the destination’s brand.

“I certainly welcome these opportunities of engagement to highlight the unique aspects of the destination in providing a premier experience for our guests,” Grant said. “I would like to thank all of the stakeholders who travelled with me to showcase St. Kitts, as we aim to drive additional cruise business to the island.”
The delegation included Hon. Ian “Patches” Liburd, Minister of Public Infrastructure, Post, Urban Development, and Transport; Carlene Henry-Morton, Permanent Secretary (Ministry of Tourism); Nick Menon, Chairman (St. Kitts Tourism Authority); Don Boncamper, Chairman (SCASPA); Racquel Brown, CEO (St. Kitts Tourism Authority) and Denzil James, CEO (SCASPA).

The Seatrade conference is the world’s largest annual cruise industry exhibition and conference, drawing more than 900 exhibiting companies and over 11,000 attendees.
The conference brings together top industry suppliers, cruise line buyers and decision makers from around the world for a three-day exhibition and four-day conference, it serves all sectors of the global cruise industry from shipbuilding through services, technology, operations and destinations.
