Deputy Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Five, the Honourable Shawn Richards, said the Team Unity Administration prides itself on its all inclusive approach to national development, taking into account the views and concerns of all, regardless of their political affiliation.

He added, “This Team Unity Government cannot afford to leave out anyone. The PAM supporters, we cannot afford to leave them out; those who support Labour and of course are ready to come over, we have not and we will not leave them out. The PLP supporters they cannot be left out, and similarly, the CCM supporters cannot be left out because Unity is about all of the people of St. Kitts.”

The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, agreed with the remarks expressed by Minister Richards, noting that, “Team Unity is a special movement of people. What is important and impactful was that we break with an ancient history to create something new and something beautiful, which we are living and we are experiencing today.”

Prime Minister Harris continued, “One people engaged in the constructive and difficult task of nation building, which requires all of us to come together as one.”

The honourable prime minister noted that with the support and help of every Kittitian and Nevisian, the Team Unity Government will continue on its current path of progress and development.

“Where ever you are, you are the ambassadors of Team Unity and we want you always to be at your very best—the very best parent that you can be can help us curb the crime situation in our country; being the very best worker that you can on the job can improve upon the productivity of St. Kitts and Nevis; the very best architect that you can be can help us to ensure that many of the jobs that are going abroad is being done here in St. Kitts and Nevis so that more income and higher benefits can stay within St. Kitts and Nevis,” Dr. Harris said, while adding, “We are calling upon you to help us build this country, which all of us claim that we love.”

The Team Unity Coalition Government consists of three independent political parties; the People’s Action Movement (PAM) led by the Honourable Shawn Richards, the Peoples Labour Party (PLP) led by Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, and the Nevis-based Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) led by the Honourable Mark Brantley.
