Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 26, 2018 (SKNIS): In a letter written to the Association of Administrative Professionals of St. Kitts and Nevis (St. Kitts Chapter), the Cabinet of Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris has approved the Proclamation of Administrative Professionals Week 2018 for the week of 22nd to 28th April and Wednesday 25th April as Administrative Professionals Day. The theme for this year’s Administrative Professionals Week is “Caribbean Admins Working Together to Move Mountains”.

GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATION OF SAINT. CHRISTOPHER (sT. K|TTS) AND NEV|S PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, Administrative professionals play an essential role in coordinating the office operations of businesses, government, educational institutions, and other organizations, and WHEREAS, The work of administrative professionals today requires advanced knowledge and expertise in communications, computer software, office technology, project management, organization, customer service and other vital office management responsibilities, and WHEREAS, Administrative Professionals Week is observed annually in workplaces around the world to recognize the important contributions of administrative support staff and is sponsored by the international Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), and WHEREAS, Administrative Professionals Week 2018 will be using the Theme “Caribbean Admins Working Together to move Mountains” how today’s career-minded administrative professionals strive to excel in the quality of their work and recognize the importance of life-long learning, and NOW, THEREFORE the Government of the Federation of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis, hereby proclaim the week of April 22nd – 281h, 2018 as Administrative Professionals Week, and Wednesday April 25th as Administrative Professionals Day, saluting the valuable contributions of administrative professionals in the workplace. And I call on all employers to support continued training and development for your administrative staff, recognizing that a welltrained workforce is essential for success in today’s businesg world.
