(The St. Christopher National Trust) July 17, 2018:  Minister of Education, Deputy Prime Minister Shawn Richards will return as a storyteller at the National Trust’s Heritage House this weekend.

This is the Deputy Prime Minister’s second year as a storyteller in summer Dasani-Harpers Children’s Heritage House Series.

The Series is designed for children aged 6-12 years old and features stories set in St. Kitts and Nevis, which are followed by discussion time.  The sessions are being hosted on Saturday mornings in July and August inside the National Museum, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

On Saturday Minister Richards will share the tale of Trixy the monkey and her family, who live in the forest behind Golden Rock, Nevis.

Storytellers slated for the remainder of the series include folklorist Creighton “Papa” George Pencheon, Attorney and Arts Patron Jihan William and the Governor General His Excellency Sir Tapley Seaton.

A number of businesses and individuals has thrown their support behind the series, which allows the National Trust to waive the $10 per child weekly registration fee.  The Trust continues to welcome donations.
