SAINT CHRISTOPHER AND NEVIS

A BILL to amend the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, Cap 1.05

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the National Assembly of Saint Christopher and Nevis and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the Saint Christopher and Nevis (Citizenship) (Amendment) Act, 2020.

2. Interpretation.

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, “the expression, “
“Act” means the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, Cap 1.05. 

3. Amendment of Section 3.  

The Act is amended in section 3 by replacing the expression, “fourteen” with the expression, “seven”.

4.   Amendment of Second Schedule.

The Second Schedule of the Act is amended in paragraphs 1(b) and 3(a), by deleting the expression, “fourteen” and replacing it with the expression, “seven”.

5. Amendment of Fourth Schedule.

The Fourth Schedule of the Act is amended in paragraphs 3, 6 and the Explanatory Notes of Form R2, by deleting the expression, “fourteen”, and replacing it with the expression,  “seven”.
