St. Kitts-Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce Signs MOU with the British-Caribbean Chamber of Commerce

The St. Kitts-Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with the British-Caribbean Chamber of Commerce.
The MOU is intended to strengthen the links between the British-Caribbean Chamber of
Commerce and the St Kitts and Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce, by
enhancing their relationship and raising awareness in business opportunities,
partnerships, joint ventures, and investment opportunities and to increase the flow of
international trade between the UK and St Kitts and Nevis and St Kitts and Nevis and
the UK.
This MOU which is supported by the High Commission for St Kitts and Nevis in London,
will act as a platform to build additional relationships and exchange of ideas and joint
hosting of events in sectors such as renewable energy, agri-business, digital, cultural

and tourism, or any other sectors that may be agreed between the parties. The parties
will look particularly for opportunities which improve the outlook for young people by
building their human resource capacity.
The virtual signing ceremony took place at 10.30 am on April 26, 2021. Signing on
behalf of the SKNCIC was President – Mrs. Giselle Matthews and signing on behalf of
the British-Caribbean Chamber of Commerce was Lord Howard of Lympne – Patron
British Caribbean Chamber of Commerce. Both parties expressed their appreciation of
the progress made over the last few weeks which has resulted in this achievement and
they look forward to achieving the objectives that are laid out in the MOU.
Also present at the function were: Mr. Lionel Wallace – High Sheriff of Hertfordshire who
coordinated the event in collaboration with the St. Kitts-Nevis High Commission in
London; Mrs. Elsa Wilkin-Armbrister – Minister Counsellor of High Commission of St.
Kitts and Nevis in London; Mr. Richard Taylor- Under Sheriff; Bishop Delroy Powell –
Chaplain to the High Sheriff who bestowed his blessing on the virtual ceremony; Ms.
Pauline Wade – Deputy CEO British-Caribbean Chamber of Commerce; Lord Howard
of Lympne – Patron of the British Caribbean Chamber of Commerce. The Executive
Director of the SKNCIC was also present at the function.
