Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 16, 2022 (SKNIS): Sergio Díaz-Granados Executive President of CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, who was officially sworn in on Saturday, August 06, 2022, as the Federation’s fourth Prime Minister.

In a diplomatic note addressed to Prime Minister Drew, CAF’s Executive President wrote:

“On behalf of CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, I would like to extend to you our warmest congratulations on your recent election as Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis. Undoubtedly, this was a landmark event that highlighted the strength of your country’s democratic institution.”

He continued: “I am convinced that your solid academic background and commitment to social welfare will allow you to face the nation’s most pressing challenges while striving towards a more resilient and sustainable future. CAF, as the Bank for Economic Recovery and the Green Bank for our region, shares these goals and would be delighted to contribute to their attainment.”

Executive President Díaz-Granados wished Prime Minister Drew every success in his new responsibilities, adding that he looks forward to meeting with him “to build a fruitful partnership for the sustainable development of the Eastern Caribbean.”
