Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, August 25, 2023 [Ministry of Health] — Institutional-Based Health Services (IBHS) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Daveen Wilkin as the new Medical Chief of Staff, effective Monday, 28th August. Dr. Wilkin will oversee medical operations and lead the medical team with the aim of ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery across the organization.

Dr. Daveen Wilkin is a distinguished and licensed medical specialist, having graduated from the Carlos Finley University of Medical Sciences in Camaguey, Cuba, with a specialization in Anesthesiology, Reanimation, and Pain Management. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Wilkin holds a Master’s in Health Administration, focusing on hospital management, from Walden University in Maryland, USA.

For the past thirteen (13) years, Dr. Wilkin has been an invaluable asset at JNF General Hospital as the Head Consultant Anesthesiologist. Her leadership and clinical expertise have made significant impacts on patient care and surgical outcomes. Upon accepting her new role as the Medical Chief of Staff, Dr. Wilkin has pledged to focus on improving staff morale, enhancing training programs, and contributing significantly to the organization’s drive toward accreditation.
