The Long Room at the Cotton Thomas Comprehensive School serves as a vital space for students’ educational and extracurricular activities. Recognizing the importance of providing a conducive learning environment, the Social Security Board’s Health and Wellness Committee, in collaboration with the school administration, embarked on this meaningful endeavor.

Notably, this project has been made possible through the generous contributions of two esteemed corporate donors: TDC Group of Companies and SL Horsford Co. Ltd. Their commitment to the community and dedication to education have played a pivotal role in advancing this initiative.

The project has seen enthusiastic participation from the staff of the Social Security Board, including Board Members, who have volunteered their time and effort to transform the Long Room into a learner-friendly space. The sense of community and unity displayed during the project is a testament to the shared vision of creating a better educational environment for the students.

The project encompasses various aspects, including refurbishing the physical space, painting, the replacement of windows, toilets, bathroom faucets, bookshelves and more.

The St. Christopher & Nevis Social Security Board is dedicated to nation building, and this community outreach initiative exemplifies the organization’s commitment to its core values. By investing in the education and well-being of the next generation, we believe we are contributing to the sustainable development of our nation.

We invite you to view our Photo Gallery for a closer look at the team’s engagement and the transformational journey of the Long Room at the Cotton Thomas Comprehensive school.
