Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 26, 2023 (SKNIS): Nations across the globe continue to pour in congratulatory messages to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis on its 40th anniversary of Independence.

The Honourable Santia Bradshaw, Acting Prime Minister of Barbados wrote to Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew congratulating the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis.

She said, “It is a distinct pleasure to extend to you, your Government and the People of Saint Kitts and Nevis my warm congratulations on the occasion of your 40th year of nationhood.”

“As you reflect upon the successes of the last four decades, I encourage you to look upon them not only with well-earned pride but also with the fervent yearning that led your fore-parents to answer the call to a destiny of freedom and autonomy,” said the Acting Prime Minister.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of St. Vincent and the Grenadines said in its remarks, “This symbolises the remarkable journey of Saint Kitts and Nevis toward freedom, sovereignty and self-determination.”

It continued, “The Government and People of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines offer unwavering support and fraternal solidarity in our collaborative efforts to forge sustainable development and prosperity for our Caribbean Civilisation through regional integration and multilateral cooperation.”
