St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis Social Security Fund is a compulsory insurance fund established by an Act of Parliament in 1977. It began operations on February 1, 1978, taking over from the National Provident Fund, which was basically a retirement savings scheme with limited other benefits.

JOB PURPOSE

The main purpose of this role is to manage the operations of the organization.  To collaborate with the Director/CEO and Management team in setting and driving the organization’s vision and operational strategy and translating strategy into actionable goals to achieve desired levels of performance and growth. 

APPLICANTS SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIANCE AND SKILLSETS

  • A minimum of a Masters degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or other related management field.
  • Minimum of at least seven (7) years’ experience in executive leadership.
  • Good interpersonal skills with strong mentoring and coaching experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Accounting Software etc).
  • Knowledge of Social Security Regulations will be an asset.
  • Good judgment and performs at a high level of integrity and credibility.  Must be committed to the organization’s mission and core values.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks to deadlines and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to set clear objectives, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, and ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals.
  • The ability to compile and analyse data to identify trends for decision making purposes.
  • Ability to manage varied components of projects within time-bound targets, ensuring delivery and success.
  • Adept at identifying issues, finding solutions, and making decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • The ability to think strategically and contribute to the organization’s long-term goals.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deputize the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and assume all roles and responsibilities of the CEO in his/her absence.
  • Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer on all matters related to the organization.
  • Demonstrates the leadership that is necessary to make the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives a success.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and develop performance action plans and individual development plans if needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies, procedures and business plans needed to ensure sustainability of the Fund and improve organisational efficiency and growth.
  •  Work with the executive team to set performance goals for the organization.
  • Cultivate and provide opportunities for rising talent within the organization.
  • Ensure the achievement of strategic goals for performance and growth.
  • Establish policies that promote the organization’s culture and vision.
  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
  • Manage the core business of the organisation and the commercial relationship with all third-party vendors.
  • Provide detailed reports to the CEO and the Board regarding performance, achieving targets, key performance indicators and other matters.
  • Contribute as key stakeholder to the execution of the organization-wide strategic plan, goal setting, operations and planning.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of the organization’s vision and operational strategy.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to ensure that strategy is translated into actionable goals to achieve desired levels of performance and growth. 
  • Directly supervises the core functions of the organization and ensures its performance.
  • Evaluate internal policies and makes the necessary recommendations for improvements.
