The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Doulgas, Minister of International Trade, Industry and Commerce, and Consumer Affairs, actively participated in the Special Consultation of the Council of Ministers of the Caribbean Forum of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (CARIFORUM). The virtual conference, held on May 22, 2024, aimed to strengthen cooperation between CARIFORUM member states and the European Union (EU).
During the meeting, discussions centered around the implementation of development cooperation provisions outlined in the newly negotiated Partnership Agreement between the Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS) and the EU, the Samoa Agreement. This agreement represents a significant milestone in fostering sustainable development and economic integration for CARIFORUM nations. The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Doulgas will be attending the follow up meeting, the Special Meeting of Council of Ministers of CARIFORUM, in June of this year, where he will address St. Kitts and Nevis’ interests on matters relating to global challenges, promoting economic growth, and fostering sustainability.
