“This project is country specific and serious as the instances of vandalism that have been experienced at the Cockleshell Bay area are of great concernto the Prime Minister, Minister of National Security.” This project supports that concern and will see the installation of underground fibre-optic cableconnectivity and CCTV cameraswhich will be incorporated into the existingmonitoring network of the Ministry of National Security specifically The St. Christopher & Nevis Police Force (The Force). This fast, safe, secure, and reliable network will offer real time video surveillance and forensic capabilities for The Force in an underservedarea. This innovative technology will be a deterrent for criminal activities in the vicinity of the water taxi area at Cockleshell Bay.

The NTRC thanks all universal service providers who participated in this bidding process and looks forward for your participation in future bidding processes.

The Universal Service Fund continues to welcome project proposals that align with the Commissions’ goals and meet specific criteria. For more information about project proposal submission, kindly contact the NTRC office at (869) 466 6872 or the website (www.ntrc.kn).
