Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Mr. William Hodge said the semifinals was opened to all government schools in St. Kitts and that based on the performance of the zonal eliminations, it is anticipated that the finals would be keenly contested and of a high standard.

The Permanent Secretary therefore sends out an appeal for Citizens of the Federation to encourage patriotism and support the students as they participate in the event.
