The Department of Creative Economy – Cultural Heritage Unit is seeking volunteers of all ages for our upcoming ICH Core Knowledge Transfer Camp on (Summer Camp) July 29th 2024 – August 2nd 2024 and (Christmas Camp) December 9th 2024 – January 1st 2025. Volunteers will aid in safeguarding our Intangible Cultural Heritage. The department greatly appreciates the extra helping hands for activities planned for 2024 and beyond. On May 10, 2024, the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) reported two (2) laboratory confirmed cases of measles despite having a national measles vaccination coverage rate of 95%. This coverage rate is similar to that of St. Kitts and Nevis. It must be highlighted that the Caribbean sub region was the first area in the world to have eliminated measles in 1991.
