He indicated that Minister Hamilton was born in Water Works, Cayon, and was raised there. He noted that after completing his education, Minister Hamilton became deeply involved in politics and used this as a platform to work in the best interest of all people.

According to Saunders, Minister Hamilton has been instrumental in assisting many persons throughout the island. He congratulated the minister on his efforts to “bring assistance to the indigent by helping them to add bathrooms to their homes and to fix roofs that had been leaking for years.”

Acknowledging that Minister Hamilton has only served as a minister of government for two years, Saunders noted that his in-depth knowledge of the Federation’s Constitution allowed him to question the modus operandi former administration thus educating the masses, while adding, “Our people are better off today because of his contribution.”

Saunders further spoke to the minister’s knowledge of the Standing Orders- the rules which govern Parliament, indicating that this knowledge may have led to the minister’s appointment as leader of government business in the House.
