Five Federation students earned degrees at Midwestern State University’s May 2017
Commencement exercises last month. They were part of a group of 30 Caribbean students who also walked the stage.
Irvichal Challenger stood out among the graduates, earning summa cum laude honors and a bachelor’s of business administration degree in accounting. She also helped to found a chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants on campus.
Nikesia Pemberton earned magna cum laude honors and a bachelor of business administration in Finance.
Andre Tyrell earned cum laude honors and a bachelor of business administration in economics. He was also a campus and Caribbean organization leader.
Aldriscia Burke earned a bachelor of science in psychology and sociology. She also served on the Caribbean organization executive.
Renee Collins earned a bachelor of Social work.
Over 100 Federation students have earned degrees from Midwestern since 2000 and thirty-five students are currently enrolled. Twelve new Federation students will arrive at the university to begin studies in August.
