Minister of Tourism The Hon. Lindsay Grant said the visit of the Azamara Quest is a testament to the destination’s capacity to attract experienced and discerning travelers to St. Kitts.

“It is important that our stakeholders continue to provide the best possible service so that we can continue attract high-net passengers, and therefore provide more economic opportunities for tourism-related businesses.”

CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, Racquel Brown, noted that the Azamara Quest last called on St. Kitts on 2nd December, 2013, and thus she was pleased to see the return of the ship this season.

“At Seatrade Global 2016 the Minister and I met with the executives of Azamara Cruises, and asked them to consider St. Kitts for upcoming seasons,” CEO Brown said. “On Wednesday I was indeed pleased to see the cruise line return to the island, and hope to see them for many more calls in the 2018-’19 cruise season.”

Cruise ships are scheduled to make more than 100 cruise calls to the island in December, with most days comprising of a minimum of three cruise ships. This cruise season is projected to bring more than a million passengers to St. Kitts.
