BASSETERRE (15TH Dec., 2017): St. Kitts continues to attract up-scale visitors, with the arrival of three luxury cruise ships today to the destination.

Affluence ships calling on St. Kitts today include the Seabourn Sojourn of the Seabourn Cruise Line, with a maximum capacity of 450 passengers. The Crystal Esprit, which operated by Crystal Cruises, with a maximum capacity of 75 passengers. Also, the Azamara Quest of Azamara Cruises, with a maximum capacity of 702 passengers.

Affluent travellers spend more, on average, per purchase at retail stores than regular travellers. High-end retailers and service providers are the greatest beneficiary of these affluent spenders, who spend disproportionately more on luxury goods than their traditional counterparts.

Two other ships are also in St. Kitts today; the MSC Fantasia of MSC Cruises, with a maximum capacity of 3,887 passengers, and the Thomson Celebration of Thomson Cruises with a maximum capacity of 1,378 passengers.

Cruise ships are scheduled to make more than 100 cruise calls to the island in December, with most days comprising of a minimum of three cruise ships. This cruise season is projected to bring more than a million passengers to St. Kitts
