Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 26, 2017, (RSCNPF): Commissioner of Police, Ian Queeley, gave a donation of just over $1,400 to the Salvation Army on Friday, December 22 on behalf of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. Officers were asked to make a contribution, as they did last year, to the worthy cause.  Commissioner Queeley was pleased to report that this year’s donation to the Salvation Army exceeded the one made in 2016 when it first began and he lauded the work of the religious organisation in the Federation.

“We are pleased to donate to their cause and we believe it is important to help people in need.  We wish them the very best with the work they are doing to help others,” said Commissioner Queeley.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Salvation Army was Major Roxroy Campbell who said he enjoyed working with the Commissioner and his team. He expressed his gratitude for the support.

“You had a good upbringing,” Major Campbell told the Commissioner. “Someone sowed God’s values into your heart…the Salvation Army first came to St. Kitts and Nevis in 1904 and we work with several groups, including the young and the elderly. This will help with our various ministries, including our prison ministry.”

This Christmas Season, the Salvation Army prepared 200 food hampers to distribute to persons who were in need.
