Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 20, 2018 (SKNIS)—Officials from the Department of Water Services in St. Kitts are the special guests on the weekly radio and television programme “Working for You” on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
Tune in to hear the Manager of the Water Services Department, Mr. Dennison Paul, among others, speak to a number of issues related to water, its use, misuse and conservation. The officials will speak about World Water Day, which is celebrated universally each year by the United Nations on March 22. The 2018 theme for World Water Day is “Nature for Water” which speaks to how we can reduce floods, droughts and water pollution by using the solutions we already find in nature.Water is an essential building block of life. It is more than just essential to quench thirst or protect health; water is vital for creating jobs and supporting economic, social, and human development. Additionally, the water situation and position in St. Kitts will be discussed.
